CNN Anchor Loses It When Congressmen Questions Syria Chemical Attack Narrative
Host speechless on live report when Thomas Massie says Assad didn’t attack his own people
(Neon Nettle ) A CNN anchor was left speechless during a live interview when Congressman Thomas Massie said that he didn’t believe the mainstream media’s story that President Bashar al-Assad was behind the chemical attack on Syrian civilians.
Host Kate Bolduan looked stunned when GOP representative Massie said that he wasn’t 100% sure that the attack even took place, and if it did, he doubted that Assad would do such a thing.
Republican Massie said in the live interview;
“It’s hard to know exactly what’s happening in Syria right now.
I’d like to know specifically how that release of chemical gas – if it did occur, and it looks like it did – how that occurred,”
“Because frankly, I don’t think Assad would have done that. It does not serve his interests. It would tend to draw us into that civil war even further.”
Bolduan suddenly looks stunned when she realizes that Massie is voicing an opinion that differs from the corporate network’s, and her own, views.
She seems to panic and begins looking around the studio in desperation before fumbling to ask;
“Who do you think is behind it?”
As Massie begins to answer, she cuts him off by suggesting that he’s side with Russia and turning on his own colleagues for even questioning the official story.
The Kentucky congressman stands his ground, though, and reiterates his earlier position:
“I don’t think it would’ve served Assad’s purposes to do a chemical attack on his people…
It’s hard for me to understand why he would do that, if he did.”
The CNN host abruptly ends the interview and thanks Massie for his time.
